A Maury County man is facing the death penalty.
A Maury County man is facing the death penalty. Almost 5 years years after Nathanial Pipkin was arrested for his connection to the deaths of three of his family members in Maury County, a jury has sentenced him to death. According to 22nd Judicial District Attorney General Brent Cooper, the jury handed down the sentence after nearly five hours of deliberations. Pipkin was found guilty of killing his 44-year-old mother, Traci McNeely, his 20-year-old brother, Carson Pipkin, and his 11-year-old half-sister, Kailee Warren at their home in October 2021. Investigators said Pipkin also tried to kill his stepfather, Jesse McNeely — but he escaped through a window and called 911.
