Limestone county authorities have arrested a 42-year-old New Hope man on charges of making a terrorist threat.
Limestone county authorities have arrested a 42-year-old New Hope man on charges of making a terrorist threat. Monday A caller to the Limestone County Circuit Clerk’s Office said there was a bomb in the courthouse. Officers immediately evacuated the courthouse and called in bomb technicians with the Huntsville Police department and the ATF. After a thorough search of the courthouse, no explosive devices were found. During the investigation, authorities determined the threatening call originated from a local phone number. Investigators subsequently identified the owner of that phone was Everett Nathanial Welch. Welch was located and arrested Tuesday and booked into the Limestone county jail charged with making a terrorist threat first degree and intimidating a juror. Bond will be set later by a judge. Investigators are still executing search warrants related to this case and additional charges are possible.
