If you were up late last night you may have seen a rare blood moon. The earth shadowed the moon from the sun, turning the moon a deep red color. Here in Lincoln county the eclipse peaked about 11:12 last night with about 92 percent of the moon in shadow. If you missed it the next The next total lunar eclipse (blood moon) visible in the United States will occur on December 31, 2028 – January 1, 2029. Date: Resident in North America will be able to view this total lunar eclipse event as it spans over the 2029 New Year holiday.
