The high heat indices will continue into the weekend. Early this morning the National Weather service extended the heat advisory through 8 pm Saturday as persistently hot temperatures continue to grip our area. Southern middle Tennessee and north Alabama are all under a heat advisory with the heat index expected to reach 109 degrees every afternoon through at least Saturday. Take extra precaution if you must be outdoors, drink plenty of fluids and limit strenuous activity to early mornings and late evenings.
